OHWHAT. IT LOOKS LIKE SCHOOL HAS STARTED AGAIN.

SO. Let me start off with-- who saw the Emmys last night?? Were they not SPECTACULAR??? DR. HORRIBLE HACKED INTO MY TELEVISION. IT WAS INCREDIBLE. Although, not gonna lie, I did mute the television for the majority of the TV Movies and Miniseries category. But yeah. I think that everytime I see NPH in something, I love him just a little bit more.

SCHOOL. Dear lord this year is thesis year. And I have reading to do. So much reading. SO SO VERY MUCH READING. That, and I was just up all night doing this 35-panel page for my noon Pictorial Problems class. And it's still not done. Note to self: finish after writing journal.

JOB. I got a job. Whoooo. So I am now working at Robot Galaxy, which is a store inside the big Toys R Us in Times Square. I've only just started, so I can't really guage the job yet, but from what I've seen... it is GREATLY better than any other sales associate job I've worked. And like, the manager is an actual person who LISTENS when I say, "Well I can't work Mondays because I have class all day," etc. etc. Youknow, as opposed to my Duane Reade bosses who would schedule me for class, and then after I'd argued with them and gotten them to switch my hours, would CALL ME UP during classes, asking if I could come in to work the shift I had just gotten switched out of. OH YEAH AND I GOT LOCKED OUT OF THE STORE A FEW TIMES AT DUANE READE BECAUSE THE MANAGER DIDN'T SHOW UP WHEN I HAD THE MORNING SHIFT AND I HAD TO STAND OUT IN THE COLD AND WAIT FOR HIM. THAT SUCKED HARD. ...Anyway. Yeah. Selling robots. Not-sucky job. Hurray.

INTERNSHIP. I am now interning with Matt Madden and Jessica Abel in their home-based studio. I just started last week, but so far it has been pretty great. Even if I am mostly doing secretarial-type cataloging and compiling lists of comics. Which I kind of love, anyhow. ...maybe I should quit art and become a secretary. ... The only (and I mean ONLY) downside is that I leave at 9AM and get back around 6PM, and then have class from 6:20 to 10. So my Wednesdays are like, GONE. Which... wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the JOB, which takes away from homework time, and the SCHOOL, which piles on a heavy workload. So yeah. On the plus side, SCHOOL is sending me to Bulgaria for Spring Break. This is nice. I just need to get my passport renewed.

ANIME FEST. So I am running the school's booth at Anime Fest this year. I'll be at the convention all day Friday and as much as I can Saturday and Sunday. Uh. Hurray? Uh, yes. I am excited. Just concerned about when the hell I am going to do my homework. Uh. I will figure something out. I always do. Also I am so tired. And I still need to finish my 35-panel page. Waaargh. Uh. Right so, anime fest. Come by and say hello if you are going to be at the convention. Mmyeah.

ANYTHING ELSE? I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE. THE EMMYS WERE AWESOME. HURRAY FOR NEIL. I AM SO SORRY THAT JOHN CRYER WON THAT STUPID BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A COMEDY AWARD.

So it looks like I will be working as a camp counselor again this Summer. Which.. I kinda hated, but the pay was good and the job wasn't too difficult, so I guess it's all right. Also, I got nights and weekends off, so that was a plus.

Aaaanyway, since camp doesn't start for another month, I have a little bit of free time on my hands. Which is GREAT. :D As has been previously mentioned, I am making Waldgrave Manor my first priority... although I still don't know whether I will post here or not.

Also- MoCCA Art Festival. I will not have any of my own comics there, but I will be working the SVA table. In short, I am excited.

Uhm. What else is new? Well, I finally finished my scrapbook for Senior Prom. Ooh, also! My birthday was on Monday. It was great, I got to see some friends that I hadn't seen in a long while.

What else...? I have no idea. dootdootdoot the suburbs are boring.

Less than one month--!

Less than a month of classes left! Hooray!!

So, my main focuses right now are finals projects and Fresh Meat. I don't think that I will have a final exam in any of my classes but I've got projects in five of my six classes... the first of which is due this Wednesday. Ugh. Well, I will survive, I suppose. As for Fresh Meat, it's really just a matter of getting everything together...hopefully while I am spending countless hours in the DIC I will take advantage of the scanner and scan some things to post here. ...cause yeah, my scanner is still incompatible with my computer. :( Although weirdly enough, I can scan things into Microsoft Word. Just Word, though. So, not really good for artwork and such.

With Summer will come a number of things:
1- A job. I don't know where, and I don't really care, either, just so long as the hours are decent, it pays, and it is near enough to my house that I can walk/bike. Still no car, still no plans of getting a car. But yeah, I am going to need the cash.
2- MoCCA Art Festival. Definitely planning on working the SVA booth. This is the only con I am planning on attending all summer, and I am very excited for it.
3- Waldgrave Manor. Still working on it, still plan on finishing it over the Summer. Unfortunately, it has to take second priority to the job thing, on account of the fact that I need money to eat/make art/clothe myself/clean myself/etc.
4- Waldgrave Manor covers. Something that I really want to try is to use some of the techniques I have learned this semester in my illustrative sculpture class in order to create the thirteen Waldgrave Manor covers. I've got some ideas, I am just not sure I will be able to pull it off. If not uhm... I guess it will just have regular sort of covers, then.
5- Music. Yeah, uh. I want to learn to play the guitar or something over the Summer. I just don't like the fact that I am not able to play any instruments AT ALL. But uh... this obviously takes back seat to everything else.
6- Starry Knights/Niveus/fanart/collab with Megan. Various art projects that I would like to undertake. Chances are I will not get around to any of them, but they are all still there on the list.

Auuuuugh I just want it to be Summer already!! Stupid finals. D<

In other news, Megan and I are planning a Bad Movies Night sometime this week. We will watch Twilight and Dragonball Evolution, and then proceed to vomit up our souls. It will be glorious.

break's over, back to work

Instead of getting a lot of work done over Spring Break, I just kinda moped around and saw Watchmen four more times.

buhhhh.

Also, my scanner, I have just now discovered, is not compatible with my new computer. Which means that currently, I do not have a scanner. I am not sure if I will get a new one, because it's not like I use my scanner all that often anyway... I am going to the library later today, so I will scan some things there. Yeah.
...and then maybe I will post them. D:

Forty-eight hours ago, I had absolutely no interest in Watchmen. Never read the book, didn't want to see the movie, didn't care much either way.

Thirty-one hours ago, Megan loaned me her copy of Watchmen, with the promise that I had to return it today.

Twenty-four hours ago, I finished reading the book. It. Was. Amazing.

Seventeen hours ago, I went to class, my head filled with thoughts of how fucking awesome Rorschach is.

Twelve hours ago, Megan and I settled down to a few hours of Justice League and Batman Beyond. Very nostalgic.

Six hours ago, I went to see the Watchmen movie.

IN CONCLUSION: I WANT TO BE A MASKED ADVENTURER.
